Brianna Johns
Brianna Rae Johns, a Philadelphia native, and Central High graduate earned her bachelor's degree in Education from Bloomsburg University, her masters in Writing from Saint Joseph's University, and is currently completing her doctorate in English Pedagogy at Murray State University. She has taught elementary and secondary education in New York City and Philadelphia and has self-published two children's books, Nailed It and Reese Rescues; two diverse stories that teach tolerance and acceptance while emphasizing the importance of community.
In her downtime, she volunteers in animal rescue initiatives in Philadelphia and New Jersey and serves as a mentor for incarcerated writers through PEN America, a nonprofit organization that works to defend and celebrate free expression in the United States and worldwide through the advancement of literature and human rights.
