As a part of the Black Feminist Taught Me capsule, Jaimee A. Swift, executive director of Black Women Radicals, and her siblings honored her grandmother, Barbara Sawyer, and her mother, Aretha Swift. Swift’s grandmother migrated to Philadelphia from Marvell, Arkansas and St. Louis, Missouri to start a better life for her children.
